CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A Cornwall woman who was caught driving drunk after someone made an anonymous call to report her was sentenced recently to three days in jail.

Christien Harley Ann MacLean, 26, appeared before Chief Judge Jeff Lantz in provincial court in Charlottetown where she entered a guilty plea.

Crown attorney Jeff MacDonald told the court that on Jan. 15 at around 8:50 p.m., MacLean left an establishment in Charlottetown.

MacDonald said an anonymous caller reported to police that MacLean might have been impaired.

MacLean later provided breathalyzer samples that were more than 1.5 times the legal limit.

Along with the jail time, MacLean must pay a $1,500 fine and a $450 victim surcharge.

She is also banned from driving for one year.
