WOODSTOCK, P.E.I. — Regardless of athletic ability, all golfers attending the 14th annual Acadian Golf Tournament of P.E.I. will have a chance to win.
Featuring a wide variety of prizes, prospective participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible for the recreational and bilingual tournament held at Mill River Golf Course in Woodstock.

"Registration for our tournament is open to everyone, including individuals and families who will be gathering in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick for the 2019 Congrès mondial acadien and its many family reunions," said tournament coordinator Jeannette Gallant.
So far on the list of prizes are a barbecue, a table saw, a wine kit, $500 in cash, gift cards and more.
The Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of P.E.I. will offer a series of special prizes in accordance with the number of the tournament's edition - meaning there are 14 prizes to give away.
With the 2019 Congrès mondial acadien in town this year, participants can expect "Acadian" prizes.
"We already have on our registration list several teams from the Arsenault and Haché-Gallant family reunions, but we still have room for several other teams from these and other Acadian families, or businesses and organizations," said Gallant.
The tournament can accommodate 144 golfers. Registration is $90 per person or $360 per foursome.
The tournament is a fundraising event for the more than 100 young Islanders who will participate in the finals of the Jeux de l'Acadie. Last year, this popular event raised a record $7,900.
Organizers hope to significantly exceed that total this year.
