Wind warning advisory issued for Confederation Bridge Jan. 16 overnight

BORDEN-CARLETON, P.E.I. — The Confederation Bridge is under a wind warning advisory for Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

A site-specific forecast from Rowan Williams Davies and Irwin Weather Services indicated wind conditions may result in traffic restrictions on the bridge between 7 p.m. on Jan. 16, and 9 a.m. on Jan. 17.

The forecast said easterly winds are expected to increase to between 90 - 100 km/h, with gusts over 100 km/h.
