A wind warning advisory has been issued for the Confederation Bridge, with winds just above 60 km/h and gusts above 70 km/h expected.

The Confederation Bridge issued a wind warning advisory on Sunday, Jan. 17.

The advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The site-specific forecast by Rowan Williams Davies and Irwin Weather Services indicates south-southwesterly winds at speeds around 60 km/h with gusts reaching above 70 km/h.

Overnight, the bridge restricted access for some classes of vehicles, but has since reopened to all traffic.
