CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - Islanders are in for a cold day as temperatures reach highs around -13C and strong winds make it feel even colder.

Environment Canada is forecasting a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of flurries today.

Winds of 40 km/h are expected with gusts up to 80 km/h in some parts of the province.

A wind chill of -29C is expected today.

Tonight temperatures will dip to around -18C with a wind chill of -31C.

Thursday - Mainly cloudy with 60 percent chance of flurries. Wind west 30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming northwest 30 gusting to 50 near noon. High minus 10. Cold wind chill minus 30. Night: Cloudy periods with 60 percent chance of flurries. Low minus 10.

Friday - A mix of sun and cloud with 30 percent chance of flurries. High minus 8. Night: Cloudy periods. Low minus 16.

Saturday - A mix of sun and cloud. High minus 12. Night: Periods of snow. Low minus 14.

Sunday - Periods of snow. High minus 5. Night: Flurries. Windy. Low minus 12.

Monday - A mix of sun and cloud with 30 percent chance of flurries. High minus 9. Night: Cloudy periods with 30 percent chance of flurries. Low minus 12.

Tuesday - A mix of sun and cloud. High minus 8.
