KELVIN GROVE, P.E.I. – Prince District RCMP responded to a single-vehicle accident on Monday morning after a car met a large puddle of water, hydroplaned and then landed on its side in a ditch on Route 107 (Blueshank Road) in Kelvin Grove.

RCMP received a call around 8:20 a.m. reporting the incident.

There were minor injuries to the lone female driver who was travelling westbound.

The investigation determined the woman lost control of the car and hydroplaned.

The car hit a support wire for a telephone pole, causing damage to the front of the vehicle.
