SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — The annual Walk for Dog Guides is returning to Summerside later this month
The walk, which is a joint event by the St. Eleanors and Summerside Lions Clubs, aims to raise funds to help families acquired dog guides for a number of purposes.
There are an expected 300 walks set to take place this year, said Cleve Rix of the Summerside Lions Club.
“We had about 15 participants last year. We’re trying to grow the event,” Rix added.
Participants or those interested can collect funds and fill out pledge sheets or donate online and select the run you want to support.
The Walk for Dog Guides is set for May 26 at the Boardwalk Gazebo next to Shipyard restaurant in Summerside.
Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. and the walk starts at 1 p.m.
