CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Voluntary Resource Council’s (VRC) 12th annual fundraiser will take place Nov. 30 in Charlottetown.
The VRC operates the Voluntary Resource Centre, a home for numerous small community organizations.
The breakfast fundraiser is the VRC’s only annual fundraising event, and funds raised are essential to its continued operation.
Memberships, service fees and grants all help, but the revenue from breakfast fills the gap to make ends meet.
Last year’s event raised about $5,000.
Participants will enjoy a great breakfast with some of P.E.I.’s most engaged citizens, and hear about the contributions of some of P.E.I.’s outstanding volunteers who have been nominated by organizations and the community.
Silent and live auctions of art, crafts and other items donated by VRC supporters will add to the fun.
