KENSINGTON, P.E.I. — The Credit Union Centre in Kensington includes the Fitplex fitness facility, a seniors’ centre and the ice surface.

Fitplex attendance was 1,350 for November 2019, 30 visits below last year. Total members are down a bit as well. The Fitplex is open from 5:30 a.m. until midnight daily for members with a key fob. There are staff at the desk from 4 – 8 p.m. Monday to Friday. 

New countertops for the locker rooms were scheduled to be installed in early December.

Ice rentals were up over November 2018. This year there were 175 hours rented compared to 145 rental hours in 2018. There were no home games for the Kensington Wild, but the Vipers hosted opponents four times in November.

The Bedford Exchange hockey tournament is scheduled for Jan. 24-26, the Kensington Wild Hockey Tournament is on for Feb. 15-16, the Initiation Jamboree hockey fun day runs Feb. 17 and the ADL Ice Competition welcomes figure skaters to town on Feb. 22.
