Regulations restricting the sale of vaping products to tobacco shops will take effect March 1.
The regulations were passed by cabinet on Feb. 18 and are related to a law passed in the fall that will raise the legal smoking and vaping age to 21. This bill will also take effect March 1.
The bill also restricted the sale of vaping flavors, but the regulations restricting flavors will not go into effect immediately.
Individuals who turned 19 before March 1 will still be permitted to buy cigarettes or vaping products.
While vaping products are restricted to “tobacconist shops,” the sale of cigarettes will not be.
