BORDEN-CARLETON, P.E.I. — The town of Borden-Carleton is looking to update its electronic system that monitors the municipality's lift stations.
The town has three lift stations in its sewer system, and they are monitored 24/7 by an electronic system.
But the town’s current monitoring system needs to be replaced because the current company used is getting out of the lift station business.
“We’re going to have to do it, it looks like,” said Coun. Randy Ahearn. “They’re no longer going to supply service.”
The council moved to hire Pennecon at a cost of $431 per unit per year for monitoring and maintenance.
