Environment Canada ended a severe thunderstorm watch that had been in effect for Queens and Prince counties.
The weather agency said just after 6:30 p.m. that conditions Friday were no longer favorable for the development of a storm just over an hour after issuing the alert.
It said the thunderstorms in southeastern New Brunswick were diminishing as the system moved towards Prince Edward Island.
