UPDATE: Police locate missing 74-year-old Charlottetown man

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Charlottetown Police Services said Wednesday they have located a man who'd been reported missing earlier in the day. 

Clayton Earl Shaw, 74, was located safe and sound, accrording to a release on the police department's website. 

Shaw had been reported missing earlier in the day after he was last seen in the Maypoint Road area around 5 a.m. 

Police thanked the public for their assistance with the investigation.
