HAZELGROVE, P.E.I. — Two tractor-trailers collided in Hazelgrove late Wednesday, sending one driver to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Around 10:45 p.m. a transport truck travelling east swung wide to make the turn into a small laneway.
A second transport truck, travelling the same direction, struck the side of the first truck.
Both vehicles ended up in the ditch on the east side of Route 2.
RCMP, Island EMS and New Glasgow Fire Department attended the scene. The injured driver was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Neither truck was hauling dangerous goods at the time of the collision.
Queens District RCMP are still investigating. No charges have been laid at this time.
