Kings District RCMP and provincial highway officers charged two Islanders for driving with suspended licences during a “traffic blitz” on Wednesday.

The two drivers had their vehicles impounded and were issued tickets during the morning checkstops throughout Kings County.

Tickets were also issued for variety offences including speeding, expired registrations and expired inspections.

RCMP said coordinated traffic operations similar to this one will continue throughout the year in Kings County.
