Tools stolen from downtown Summerside job site

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. —

Summerside Police Services is investigating the theft of some tools from a Water Street construction site overnight Thursday.

Police said the culprits moved a piece of machinery that blocking a storage trailer door, then broke the lock to gain access.

The owners lost more than $3,000 worth of tools.

The theft occurred sometime between 4 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

The stolen tools include:

  • A silver Skillsaw “sawsquatch” circular saw
  • A blue Bosch SDS hammer drill
  • A light blue Makita three-quarter corded impact drill
  • A black and yellow Champion 4500-watt generator
  • A red and black Powertec 3500-watt generator
  • A yellow and black DeWalt 20-volt impact driver.
