TIGNISH, P.E.I. — Tignish councillors are hoping funding for a multi-use facility in the town is still forthcoming.

Mayor Allan McInnis said projects from Alberton to Souris recently received funding but nothing was announced for the proposed multi-use facility.

The town's administrator was instructed to inquire whether funding is still being considered.

Coun. Sam Arsenault, who is heading up the steering committee for the project, said the proposal has the support of the Mill River Resort as it recognizes spinoff opportunities.
