A 30-year-old Summerside woman is facing several charges after ramming her vehicle into an RCMP cruiser.
On Tuesday, Oct. 27, Summerside police attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle that fled at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle was later located in RCMP jurisdiction and a traffic stop was attempted once again. The suspect vehicle fled and rammed the RCMP cruiser.
Shortly after, the vehicle left the roadway and the driver was arrested and is facing several charges, including flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and assault with a weapon.
The officer involved and the occupants of the suspect vehicle were examined by Island EMS and sustained minor injuries.
