Summerside power restored after citywide outage

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. – Power was restored to all Summerside residents and businesses at 11:38 a.m. Wednesday after a citywide power outage late this morning.

A recorded message on the city’s electrical utility’s phoneline said teams had been dispatched to identify and repair the problem.

The power was off for about 40 minutes.

Summerside’s electrical crews were out working on the lines along Water Street east earlier this morning. It is unknown whether this work is related to the outage.
