Man charged for December motor vehicle theft
Summerside Police Services charged a man for a motor vehicle theft believed to have taken place on Dec. 9, 2017.
Police received a call that morning from a resident of Crozier Drive in Summerside, reporting that his vehicle had been stolen from his driveway overnight.
Investigation by police identified a suspect in the matter early on, however, police were not able to locate the person, a 25-year-old Summerside man, until recently and arrested him for theft of a motor vehicle.
He has been released from custody and will appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge.
Arrest made in theft of wood pellets
Summerside police have arrested a man after receiving a call of stolen bags of wood pellets from a business.
Police received the report on the morning of Jan. 9. The bags of pellets are believed to have been taken sometime the previous night.
The suspect, a 21-year-old Summerside man, was arrested on Jan. 19 and will appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge of theft under $5,000.
