CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - The silver 2006 Toyota Yaris that was reported stolen from a Summerside residence on Dec. 2 has been recovered by Charlottetown Police Services.
An off-duty civilian member of the Charlottetown Police Services located the car, which was stolen from a Notre Dame Street residence in Summerside, travelling northbound on University Avenue late Wednesday afternoon.
Uniformed members of Charlottetown Police Service were called to the scene and arrested two women, aged 23 and 26, for possession of stolen property.
The car was towed from the scene and will be returned to Summerside police who will continue their investigation.
The two women will appear in court at a later date.
