Christopher Ryan Davis Moase, 30, of Summerside has pleaded guilty to charges of impaired driving and trafficking in methamphetamine.
Additional charges include three counts of possession of controlled substances.
The charges are all from fall 2018 and took place in Summerside.
Moase was sentenced to serve 14 months and three days in jail as well as 24 months of probation and he must pay a $1,000 fine. He is also prohibited from driving for 12 months and owning weapons for 10 years. He must also forfeit the items seized during his arrest and must submit a DNA sample to the national criminal database.
According to documents filed in court, Moase was arrested on Sept. 28, 2018 for impaired driving and during the stop police found drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
The search turned up various kinds of methamphetamine and cannabis and lysergic acid, which is also a restricted substance, scales, baggies, vials and other drug trafficking related items.
On Oct. 12, 2018 police obtained a search warrant for Moase’s phone. The text messages were indicative of methamphetamine trafficking.
