SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A 20-year-old man was in Summerside provincial court recently after he was found trafficking child pornography.
Dexter Fabian Chaisson was sentenced to six months in jail and 36 months of probation after he was charged with transmitting a digital image considered to be child pornography.
The charges are from February in Travellers Rest, P.E.I.
For the next three years, Chaisson must stay away from parks and pools where children under 16 may be present, he can’t take a job where he could come into contact with children and he’s not allowed to use a computer or device with an internet connection to contact a person under 16 years old.
In addition, Chaisson had to submit a DNA sample and will be on the sex offender registry for 10 years.
