SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. – A 44-year-old Summerside man has pleaded guilty to one count of theft.

John Victor Gallant was sentenced to serve 21 days in jail, which he received permission to do intermittently, as well as 12 months of probation and pay a $100 victim surcharge.

The charge is from Sept. 28 in Summerside.
