SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A 60-year-old Summerside man was arrested for impaired driving Aug. 6 after his breath sample contained more than three times the legal limit of alcohol.

A motorist called Summerside Police Services after they saw the suspect’s vehicle cross into oncoming traffic several times between Summerside and Read’s Corner on Tuesday afternoon.

Police caught up to the man and stopped the vehicle on MacEwen Road.

The man’s vehicle was impounded for 30 days and he will appear in court to answer to the impaired driving charges at a later date.
