SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A P.E.I. man is headed to jail for two months after he shared intimate images of a woman online.

Jeffrey Scott Doull, 37, was charged with distributing intimate images without consent after he uploaded images to a website sometime before February 2020.

He also texted intimate images to the woman's mother on Feb. 21. The images showed her face, but not his.

Doull's prior record showed two charges pertaining to the same victim in 2008 and 2009.

The attorneys made a joint recommendation of 60 days in custody.

Judge Krista MacKay called Doull’s offence “particularly abhorrent”.

“I can’t think of any woman that wouldn’t find this disturbing,” said MacKay.  “A period of custody is definitely warranted. Sixty days may be at the low end, but, because it is a joint recommendation, I am prepared to go along with that.”

Doull will be on probation for 24 months after he is released from jail, he must also stay away from the victim.
