The RCMP continues to investigate a two-month-old collision in O’Leary that seriously injured a 15-year-old pedestrian.

Ryan MacKinnon of O’Leary was airlifted to hospital in Halifax after being struck by a motorcycle after 11 p.m. on Aug. 6 while he was walking along Main Street in O’Leary.

The teenager has undergone several surgeries. Last month, Darren MacKinnon posted on a GoFundMe page that his son, Ryan, was expected to remain a patient at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax for several months due to the severity of the injuries.

More than $44,000 has been raised through the GoFundMe site in support of Ryan and his family.

The driver of the motorcycle was released from hospital in mid-August.
