CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Chief public health officer Dr. Heather Morrison confirms there are seven new cases of COVID-19 in P.E.I.
Morrison announced the new confirmed cases during her daily news conference on the coronavirus this afternoon.
The latest cases bring the total to 18 in P.E.I.
Morrison said the new confirmed cases were related to travel outside the country.
Four of the cases involve women and the other three are men, Morrison said.
The ages of the infected people in the new confirmed cases range from their 20s to two in their 70s.
Morrison also reminded people that social distancing is critical to slow the spread of COVD-19 in P.E.I.
