CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Chief public health officer Dr. Heather Morrison says there are no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 today for P.E.I.

Morrison provided the update during a daily news conference about the coronavirus (COVID-19) this afternoon.

In P.E.I. there have been 26 confirmed cases and Morrison said 24 of them are considered recovered.

Morrison said there have been more than 1,800 deaths in Canada related to COVID-19.

Across the country, 78 per cent of positive cases are related to community spread, Morrison said.

All of the positive cases in P.E.I. have been related to travel outside the province.

Morrison said there are 109 tests pending for P.E.I.
