RIVERDALE, P.E.I. – The RCMP arrested a 26-year-old man Sunday after they allegedly found about 2,000 methamphetamine pills in a vehicle and on him.
On Sunday, the RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision in Riverdale where they found a vehicle had left the road and hit several trees before coming to a stop in the ditch off Route 1.
The RCMP said a man fled the scene before they arrived, but the police dog services caught him about an hour later.
The police allegedly seized about 2,000 methamphetamine pills from the vehicle and the accused who was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
He was remanded into custody until a court appearance in early January.
