The City of Summerside will experience a planned power outage on Friday, Aug. 21, from 12:01 to 5:30 a.m. for customers attached to circuit R3.

The areas effected by the outage include Brockville Street, Harvard Street (between Brockville Street and Water Street), Heckbert Street, Jenkins Avenue, Noonan Street, Water Street (between MacEwen Road and Eustane Street) and Heather Moyse Drive (between Water Street and the Port Authority).

Upgrades to the circuit have been completed and the old equipment is ready to be removed. To do so safely, the power will need to be turned off.
