Police seize cocaine in Alberton

ALBERTON, P.E..I. - A 49-year-old Alberton man was arrested and will face drug trafficking charges after a seizure of cocaine in Alberton Thursday.

The Prince District Joint Forces Operations (JFO) Drug Unit - comprised of RCMP, Summerside and Kensington police members - seized the drug as result of a traffic stop on Church Street Jan. 24.

Police agencies encourage the public to be diligent about helping to keep Island communities safe by providing information to police or by contacting P.E.I. Crime Stoppers at Peicrimestoppers.com or 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
