SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — No large gatherings occured Saturday night in western P.E.I., despite Prince District RCMP receiving multiple reports of grad parties with more than 200 people attending being planned.

No one from the RCMP was able to comment on the matter on Sunday morning when contacted by The Guardian.

As the province is in Phase 2 of the government’s Renew P.E.I. Together Plan, outdoor gatherings are limited to members of the same household with up to 10 other individuals from different households, while maintaining physical distance with those from outside the same household.

Gatherings exceeding this size present the potential for public safety health risks and could lead to individual charges, said a released statement from the RCMP.
