- All classes in the Public Schools Branch and the French-language school board have been cancelled for today.
- Grace Christian School will remained closed for the day.
- Northumberland Ferries Ltd. have cancelled all crossings for today.
Maritime Electric:
Maritime Electric received about a dozen calls from customers last night.
Kim Griffin, a spokeswoman for the utility, said there was an outage in Grand Tracadie that crews searched for last night but were unable to find the problem. They will return to the area today.
There are currently 9 customers without power.
Weather
Teddy has arrived, and the Island can expect more rain today. According to the rainfall warning in effect, the province is expected to get an additional 20-30 millimetres of rain today. To see affected areas, click here.

Confederation Bridge
**Advisory**For user safety, the Confederation Bridge has restricted certain classes of vehicles from crossing until the current high wind situation changes.**
Restricted classes include:
- automobiles towing trailers,
- motorcycles,
- high-sided vehicles including trucks, tractor trailers, recreational vehicles, and buses.
Bridge restrictions were put into place at 4:30 a.m. Sept. 23.
Attention: Restrictions on interprovincial traffic (within the Atlantic provinces only) due to COVID-19 have been lifted and the bridge is open to all traffic. **Advisory: All sailings have been cancelled for Sept. 23 due to forecasted weather conditions.**
Passengers are advised to check-in at least 40 minutes before departure to allow time for the additional screening procedures implemented for everyone’s safety. Walk-on passengers may check-in 30 minutes before departure. Northumberland Ferries Limited strongly recommends all customers – including walk-ons – make a reservation online or by calling toll free 1-877-762-7245.
Daily round-trip sailings from Sept. 8 to Nov. 30:
- Departing Wood Islands, P.E.I. — Monday to Friday: 6:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m.; Saturday to Sunday: 8 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 2:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m.
- Departing Caribou, N.S. — Monday to Friday: 8 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m.; Saturday to Sunday: 9:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m.
