A word from SaltWire Network chief meteorologist Cindy Day:

“There’s more liquid sunshine on the radar as a series of frontal troughs rotates around a controlling, almost stationary northern low-pressure system. This pulse of wet weather will slide up from the bottom of the trough, spreading more rain and bringing the wind around to the south. We can expect some clearing Thursday and a lovely day on Friday. After a dry start to the day Saturday, rain is expected to return during the afternoon. The later part of the weekend will be drier but cooler as the wind comes around to the north. Keep the rain gear handy, another line of wet weather could slip the eastern end of the Island. The workweek will get off to an unseasonably cool start.”
