Weather

A word from the SaltWire Network weather desk:

SaltWire Network chief meteorologist Cindy Day.

SaltWire Network chief meteorologist Cindy Day says a fair weather system south of the Avalon is reaching back to another high south of the Great Lakes; together they are serving up a lovely stretch of mid-winter weather.

As the ridge slowly sinks southeastward, daytime temperatures will climb to above seasonal values across the province … at least for a day or two.

The weekend will get off to a cool, bright start but is not expected to end the same way.

A messy system will track south of Nova Scotia late Sunday to Monday; we could get close to 10 cm of snow by midday Monday.
