A word from SaltWire Network chief meteorologist Cindy Day:
“Warm wind brings back summer. Not everyone loves this high humidity, but I’m willing to bet that those who are complaining the loudest about it will be the first to cry with the snow flies! Grandma always said, “there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad timing”; we have to deal with what we get. This week, we’re getting a little taste of sultry summer air thanks to a strong south wind on the backside of a stalled Bermuda High. Humidex values will climb into the 30s until the cold front makes its move. The steady rain on the leading edge of the system will kick through Wednesday night to Thursday with anywhere from 20 to 30 millimetres of rain. Friday looks lovely, but Saturday will be showery. After an unsettled start to the weekend, we can expect clearing skies and cooler weather on Sunday.”
