Weather
There is an 80 per cent chance of showers across the province Tuesday with a high of 18 C.
A word from SaltWire Network chief meteorologist Cindy Day:
“A blocking area of high pressure over the Avalon is favouring eastern Newfoundland again today. A frontal wave draped across the Maritimes has nowhere to go and will continue to serve up low cloud, drizzle and showers. The upside is the temperature – a south wind in the wedge between the warm front and the cold front is holding temperatures anywhere from three to six degrees above normal. We can expect a little dip in the temperature behind tomorrow’s cold front but that will be short-lived. The second half of the week looks brighter and drier with a mix of sun and cloud. Right now, the weekend looks fair and cooler by Sunday; I am, however, keeping my eye on a developing storm, Epsilon, that’s expected to reach hurricane status near Bermuda late tomorrow. Stay tuned.”
