A word from SaltWire Network chief meteorologist Cindy Day:

“The high-pressure system that dominated the weekend weather is now presenting its warmer side and by tomorrow, an advancing warm front will further turn up the heat. We will spend a few days in the wedge between the warm and cold fronts where a steady and strengthening southwesterly circulation will boost our afternoon temperatures to the mid-20s. The nights will be mild and gardeners won’t have to worry about frost. While we could certainly use some rain, there’s very little on the horizon. Our best chance for showers this week would come Tuesday night to Wednesday morning. The fair, dry stretch of weather is expected to end Friday night as a well-developed rain system approaches from the west. The early part of the weekend will be wet and cooler. We’ll see something clearing on Sunday. Right now, normal daytime high temperatures should be near 17 C with overnight lows near 6 C.”
