Weather
There will be a mix of sun and cloud across the province Thursday with southwesterly wind gusting to 50 km/h.
A word from SaltWire Network chief meteorologist Cindy Day:
“A steady southwesterly circulation around a well-positioned Bermuda High will continue to pull in unseasonably warm weather. While this early taste of summer is welcomed by many, we desperately need some rain. I’m watching two weather systems that will eventually bring some rain to our region. The first is expected to move through on Sunday with showers, but not much relief. The next system will track along Nova Scotia’s eastern shore Monday morning then roll back to the western tip of that province Tuesday before ending up over the Golf of Main Wednesday morning. We will be on the outer edge of the heaviest rain, but our rainfall totals from Monday to Wednesday evening could be in the 20 to 30 millimetres range. Gradual clearing will follow on Thursday. Average temperatures for the end of May are 17 C during the day and 6 C at night.”
