A few words from the SaltWire Network weather desk

SaltWire Network’s chief meteorologist said another soggy system is approaching from the west.

Cindy Day said clouds will be followed by rain overnight into Friday.

Unlike the last line of rain, Day said this one will linger a little longer.

Friday will be unsettled with showers and a raw southeast wind with gusts to 50 km/h.

The proximity of the system to the west of the Island will keep a fair amount of clouds overhead but Saturday and Sunday will be fair with showers holding off until late in the day.
