A word from SaltWire Network chief meteorologist Cindy Day:

“Grandma Says: “le trois fait le mois”, or the weather on the third day of the month is a snapshot of the rest of the month; if that is the case, we won’t need our winter coats for a while! We are going to be treated to a mix of sun and cloud with above seasonal temperatures for a couple of days before the next soggy system tracks across the province. A developing weather maker is expected to track up along the eastern seaboard tomorrow and Saturday – pushing rain into the region overnight to Sunday; rainfall totals should be near 20 millimetres while a raw east wind gusts to 50 km/h. A wind shift to the north in the wake of the low will bring flurries and falling temperatures on Monday.”
