A word from SaltWire Network chief meteorologist Cindy Day:

“As the remnants of Isias track across Labrador, a trailing cold front is slowly dropping down behind it. This cold front won’t have us running for sweaters, but it will bring the humidity down a little. I’m sure many will enjoy the drier west wind on Friday. It looks like the first half of the weekend will be mostly cloudy, but the rain associated with an offshore system will likely stay just east of the Island; the sun will return on Sunday. It’s too soon to unplug the fans – another warm, muggy circulation will push humidity values into the mid-thirties well into the middle of next week.”
