Traffic (Charlottetown)

A new guardrail will be installed on Water Street, between the Boardwalk Professional Clinic (Friendly Pharmacy - 220 Water Street) and Grafton Street. It’s expected this work will take place from Dec. 10-14, weather permitting. Traffic will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic and drivers should expect delays during the day.

When work is adjacent to the Water Street/Grafton Street intersection, the right turning lane onto the Hillsborough Bridge will be closed, and right-turning traffic will be directed to the traffic lights at the intersection in order to make the turn. Traffic control personnel will be on site during this work, however, drivers may want to consider alternate routes.

Crews will be removing temporary water lines and reinstating asphalt in the following areas: Christie Drive, High Street, Parkview Drive and Elizabeth Street. These streets will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic for the day.
