Weather

The flash freeze warning has ended for P.E.I.

Temperatures are forecast to fall rapidly across the province today. Ponding water slush, and any falling precipitation will freeze as the temperature drops.

Temperatures will fall below the freezing mark before many surfaces have chance to dry. These conditions will likely produce very slippery conditions on many surfaces.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.

Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.

Flash freeze warnings are issued when a rapid drop in temperature is expected, that can cause water from rain or melted snow on streets and sidewalks to quickly freeze.
