Public Schools Branch

DELAY: All schools in the Public Schools Branch will proceed on a one hour delay this morning.

Weather

The snow is expected to end this morning across the Island, with a 60 per cent chance of flurries and a high of 1 C.

It will be cloudy tonight with flurries beginning this evening and wind gusts up to 60 km/h. The temperature will drop to -8 C, with a wind chill of -18 C overnight.

Regular fall schedule (Nov. 5 to Nov. 30)

Departing from Wood Islands, P.E.I. – 6:30 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 2:45 p.m., 6:15 p.m.

Departing from Caribou, N.S. – 9:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 8 p.m.

Traffic

Road work in Charlottetown may cause traffic delays or closures in some areas today.

Victoria Row will be closed to traffic from Queen Street to Great George Street for the day to allow for the replacement of lights.

King Street will be closed to traffic from Great George Street to Queen Street from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. for construction on an apartment complex.

Parkview Drive will be closed to through traffic from Belvedere Avenue to Christie Drive, but local traffic will be allowed.

Work will also take place on Elizabeth Street, High Street and Christie Drive, causing these streets to be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic. Traffic control personnel will be on site to direct traffic, but drivers may want to seek alternate routes. Sidewalks may also be impacted during his work.
