The Saturday, Nov. 16 editions of The Guardian and Journal Pioneer have been delayed after high winds closed the Confederation Bridge to high-sided vehicles overnight.
Newspaper managers say they've been told the bridge may remain closed until 5 p.m. Saturday.
Subscribers can still access their Saturday e-editions at https://pei-news.pressreader.com/ and reporters are staffing both newsrooms with updates coming throughout the weekend online.
The newspapers' parent company, SaltWire Network, has modified trucks that can cross the Confederation Bridge when it is closed to high-sided vehicles, and are working to deliver Saturday's paper to you despite last night's closure. Today's delay should be a rare occurence and we apologize for the inconvenience.
