CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A P.E.I. man who stole bottles of a cannabis derivative oil from an adult store in Charlottetown was sentenced recently to 25 days in jail.
Steven Dwayne Praught, 41, appeared before Judge John Douglas in provincial court in Charlottetown where he pleaded guilty to the theft and two counts of failing to attend court.
The court heard that on Jan. 30, Praught went to Wild Impulse where he stole two bottles of cannabidiol (CBD) oil worth $34.99 each.
Praught was on probation at the time and failed to attend court twice after the offence.
Along with the jail time, Praught will be on probation for one year and must pay $69.98 in restitution.
