CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A P.E.I. man who didn’t stop his motorcycle for a police officer who tried to pull him over was sentenced recently to 30 days in jail.
Jordan Douglas Milley, 30, appeared before Chief Judge Nancy Orr in provincial court in Charlottetown where he pleaded guilty to failing to stop for police.
Crown attorney John Diamond told the court that on Aug. 17 an RCMP officer saw Milley on a motorcycle travelling at a high speed.
The officer tried to pull Milley over but didn’t pursue for safety reasons.
Diamond told the court the RCMP later arrested Milley who apologized immediately and said it was stupid of him.
Along with the jail time, Milley is banned from driving for one year.
