CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A P.E.I. man who owes about $13,000 in fines was recently sentenced to 30 days in jail for breaching his probation.
Jason Derrick Arbing, 46, appeared before Chief Judge Nancy Orr in provincial court in Charlottetown for sentencing after previously entering a guilty plea.
Defence lawyer Thane MacEachern told the court Arbing was dealing with addictions issues and had been sober for 23 days prior to his sentencing.
Before sentencing Arbing, who the court heard had a lengthy criminal record, Orr said unless he decides he wants to deal with his addictions in a consistent manner it will be a “revolving door”.
